Record companies and music artists, may soon have a powerful new tool to promote and ring up sales of new releases. Phonecasting.com’s new "Song Numbers" will allow record companies to reach out and touch mobile music lovers worldwide.
Virtually anyone with a phone will soon be able to dial up free full length music previews. The new patent pending service will allow an estimated 3.25 billion cell phone subscribers worldwide to call special song numbers and preview new music from their favorite artists. At anytime during song playback listeners can press a key to vote for the song as a hit or miss. Phonecasting callers can purchase a song or a ringtone for download at anytime during playback. The song number service is scheduled to debut online at phonecasting.com in mid December 2007.
